Milos the Person
All the stories anyone would tell about Milos are probably true. He was complex and contradictory and downright confusing at times. But through all that there was an appealing glow of life. He worked hard at being dark and foreboding, but when you saw him at his happiest, he was silly and light and laughing at life. His smile and laugh were warm and inviting and made a sharp contrast to the dark exterior that he often wore.
He loved friends. I know he cherished them more than almost anything. To know that he had a friend that he could call at midnight to go for "poppers" and a friend that he could go to for financial advice and friends that he could talk hours with about music and friends he could go to to just suck up that glamourous garage atmosphere...all this he adored about his life. It truly made him happy.
While Milos wasn't a model Dad, he did love his kids. I saw his relationship with them grow as he felt more comfortable relating to them over the years. I have no doubt in my mind that given time he would have been best of friends with them.
Milos was a loving partner, too. He did almost anything to make me happy. He had a tendancy to treat me like a princess - which was so far removed from reality, that I often had to emphatically tell him to stop. He adapted willingly to our life here and became more of a Florida boy than I have yet to become a Florida girl. He did house chores grudgingly, as any child would, but jumped at the chance to do car or motorcycle repairs. More than anything I can think of, he was supportive...of all my plans and endeavors. I can't possibly say how much of a hole that alone will leave in my life.
