Ok, I know that there is a TON of people out there who's hood release cable is busted and have to drive around with no grill.. (or am i the only one? heheh) anyways.. I was thinking about this... and im sick of driving around with no grill.. (yea, yea, i could go buy new cable and puller, but im broke) SO heres what you do... Grab a coat hanger... go inside the grill and wrap it around the hood release cable which is in front of the radiator (the long black cable)..try to get the coat hanger on pretty far to the right. Clamp it around the cable with pliers so that it wont come loose if pulled. Then run the rest of the coat hanger through the metal below the rad(bumper support???) and hang it below... you then tuck whatever is left into the lip on the chin spoiler(not sure how well it will work on a US spec one but it shouldnt be that much different than my euro one). Cut off anything you deam to be excessive from the coat hanger and voila a temporary fix for your hood release... I bit ghetto but better than driving around grill-less PS. to open the hood you have to pull on the wire.. heheh... Ryan |
