1. Loosen the axle nut first with the car on the ground. I used a 1 3/16th 12 point socket for the nut. 2. When it is loose jack the car up, remove the wheel and take the nut off the axle completely. 3. Undo the three 13mm bolts on the control arm to slide the ball joint from the control arm. 4. Remove the 6 bolts that hold the cv to the tranny. The size is 6mm 12 point or triplesquare. Remove them and the shaft should now fall free of the tranny. 5. Twist the rotor/suspension around to remove the cv shaft from the splines in the hub. 6. Pull the CV shaft out and place the new one in. Replace the same way you took it out. |
