Answer:

I have a 90 Corrado which I recently had repainted. The car looks great but the lower front is all beat up. I considered purchasing a front spoiler to improve appearance and aerodynamics of the car. The ones I looked at were expensive when compared the the longevity of a spoiler seeing as to the fact that they are merely sacrifices to the concrete god known as the curb. So I went to my local salvage yard and tried a spoiler from a ford bronco II. I bought it for five bucks and modified it to fit. I temporarily screwed it on the lower portion of the bumper. It looked ok but not great and it also blocked the brake cooling ducts. Not too kosher! Not satisfied I returned to the yard a bought the lower bumper spoiler off an 86 Nissan Maxima for another 5 bucks. The spoiler is rubber and is therefore more pliable and not as prone to cracking and the concrete god. All I had to do to get the spoiler to fit my car was to remove the beat up lower plastic grill and the metal reinforcement for the grill. I then slid the flaps of the spoiler into the plastic slot of the lower bumper and used self-taping screws to secure it to the metal frame below the core support. After securing the spoiler I then trimmed the excess material at the lower fender at each wheel well.I then went back and secured the spoiler with nuts and bolts. The spoiler fit without blocking the air ducts and the car looks great and racy and I think it looks better than the euro spoiler and besides there's many more 85-87 Maximas in the junkyards to score a spoiler off of when the spoiler succumbs to the concrete god than there are corrados.
