Baby Seats

The way it works with Baby seats is that you first get one for babies under 20 lbs or 10 kg, which ever comes first. Those are the ones you typically see people lugging around, and usually find themselves next to you in a restaurant with the screeming baby while you are trying to impress your date. They are also frequently spotted perched on top of shopping carts. These fit, just about every vehicle types.

Once, the little one has reached the correct tonnage, and your arms have decided that it's not practical to lug toddler and car craddle around, you go over to a toddler seat that resembles more a miniature Recaro seat with 4 point harness. Those you do not lug around.

We have found that the Evenflow brands work ok with the C's, in the rear seats. You may also want to pay special attention to how the latter are mounted because some require an additional strap to be bolted to the frame of the car. The ones we have are approved and safe for use with a 3 point belt. Once installed, the belt gets locked with a piece of metal that looks like an "H".

You may also want to lay down a large towel or some foam padding to protect the seats. Babies have a tendency to throw their bottles down when done.
