To make this work the first thing to do is find an old, old Scirocco. I used parts from a 1978. This car had a single wiper stock.
1 - First remove the entire wiper assembly from your car, then remove the wiper motor from the wiper linkage, then put the linkage away, you won't need it.
2 - Note the position of the motor on the scirocco linkage assembly, it faces the 9'o'clock position. Now take your Corrado motor and mount it to the linkage assembly in the 12o'clock position. Do not attach the linkage to the center bolt of the motor yet!!
3 - With the motor mounted in this position, it will fit in the cowl. First bolt down the linkage at the point where the wiper arm attaches.
4 - Next you will have to drill a small hole in the cowl to bolt the rear of the linkage assembly to the body.
5 - Next plug your wiper motor in and turn it on, then off to find it's "park" position. Now attach the wiper arm to the linkage down all the way on the passenger side.
6 - Finally, attach the linkage to the center motor stud and you are done.
Note: a few adjustments to the position of the wiper arm may be necessary for the wiper to operate correctly. It took me about an hour to complete this project, it cleans the winshield better than the stock wipers, looks exactly like the Bonrath conversion and you save $300.00
