
Here's what I did, granted it may have been a fluke this is what it took to remove it. I took my dremel with a little cutting wheel and cut the head of the rotor completely off exposing both the drive shaft and the metal sleeve of the rotor. then covering the distributor itself with a grease rag sprayed a shot of WD40 on the drive shaft and collar of the rotor, let it soaked and whoa la it came off. Ironically enough there were no signs of glue. IMO the WD40 spray on the parts was the only way it was going to come off, so getting the rotor destroyed enough to spray the drive shaft is necessary . This info could also roll over to the later versions that are glued on as the same procedure may be necessary.
